133 Fire Cases Occurred in W. Jakarta Throughout January-July 2015

Apparently, the fire is still a serious threat for West Jakarta residents. How it could not be, along January-July 2015, as many as 133 fire cases have hit eight sub-districts in West Jakarta. The material loss is reaching Rp 61 billion.

The cause of the fire is dominated by electrical short-circuit with 99 cases, followed by gas stove explosion, cigarette end and trash burning activity.

" This year, as many as 133 fire cases with material loss of Rp 61 billion hit West Jakarta ," told Head of West Jakarta Fire Management and Rescue Sub-Department, Pardjoko, Wednesday (7/29).

He furthered, most of the fires occured in Cengkareng Sub-District, and followed by Kebon Jeruk and Tambora.

"Kapuk, Cengkareng Timur, and Duri Kosambi Urban Villages are categorized as a densely populated area which prone to fire," he reported.
